A holiday in the Ahornach Sun Village
Ahornach is a small village in the municipality of Sand in Taufers in the Tauferer Ahrntal.
Ahornach is situated at 1.300 m above sea-level and is affectionately named “Fochina” by the local inhabitants. Ahornach is the hometown and dwelling-place of the extreme mountain climber Hans Kammerlander. From Ahornach you can enjoy a fabulous view towards the Alps in the north and as far as Kronplatz and the Dolomites in the south.
In Ahornach is the starting point for para-gliders or hang-gliders (5 minutes by car). Para-gliders or hang-gliders can take advantage of ideal wind conditions and sway high up in the air. Mountain enthusiasts will find peace in the mountains and spend much time amid nature and the fresh air. You are sure to feel at ease in Ahornach and not, in the least, disappointed.
