A holiday in the Ahornach Sun Village

Ahornach is situated at 1.300 m above sea-level and is affectionately named “Fochina” by the local inhabitants. Ahornach is the hometown and dwelling-place of the extreme mountain climber Hans Kammerlander. From Ahornach you can enjoy a fabulous view towards the Alps in the north and as far as Kronplatz and the Dolomites in the south.

In Ahornach is the starting point for para-gliders or hang-gliders (5 minutes by car). Para-gliders or hang-gliders can take advantage of ideal wind conditions and sway high up in the air.
